Cicabio Pommade

GENERALITIES
Cicabio Pommade forms a protective film on the surface of the skin with “second-skin” effect, demonstrated by significant decrease of TEWL^(a) after a single application: -46,3% after 4 hours and -42,5% after 8 hours. *⁽¹⁾
After 14 days of twice daily application, Cicabio pommade demonstrated significant moisturizing action, with increase by +43%* compared to untreated zone. ⁽²⁾

SUNBURNS
Cicabio Pommade significantly improved skin barrier function of sunburned skin with trans-epidermal water ^(a) loss decreased by 34,5% after 15 days of twice daily application. **⁽³⁾

At D15, a statistically significant decrease of 19.1%** of the erythema was observed between in comparison to D0.

DAMAGED PERINEAL SKIN
Regarding the repairing process on perineal damaged skin, an important improvement to a full recovery reported by the investigator for 76% and 100% of subjects after 7 days and 14 days respectively. ⁽⁴⁾

ACTION ON POST-DERMATOLOGICAL SURGERY
14 days of application after microsurgery, Cicabio Pommade demonstrated contribution to skin repairing at normal to advanced skin healing stages in 93% of subjects and a good to excellent skin repair quality. ⁽⁵⁾

ACTION ON NON-OOZING LESIONS
Applied twice a day, Cicabio Pommade significantly reduced the intensity of signs of non-oozing lesions after 2 days. At D10, comparing signs vs D0, the results showed ⁽⁶⁾

• -79% of redness***
• -93% of swelling***

For 93.5% of the subjects, the overall efficacy of Cicabio Pommade was deemed good to excellent. ⁽⁶⁾
From D2, the thickness of the scab was thin or non-existent for 78.1% of the subjects. On D14, the thickness of the scab was thin or non-existent for 96.6% of the subjects. ⁽⁶⁾

ACTION ON TATOO
After 14 days of survey, redness, oedema and crusts have totally disappeared for all subjects. After 14 days of survey, the tattoo artist judged the skin repair quality as good to excellent for 88% of subjects.⁽⁷⁾

On D1, after application of Cicabio Pommade on the tattoo, 92% of subjects found the product has a soothing effect. ⁽⁷⁾

After 7 days, burning sensation and tingling are absent or slight for 96% of subjects and pain and itching for 100% of subjects. ⁽⁷⁾

After 14 days, burning sensation is absent for 96% of subjects, tingling is absent or slight for 100% of subjects and pain and itching have totally disappeared for all subjects. ⁽⁷⁾

TOLERANCE
Cicabio Pommade has very good cutaneous tolerance (face and body) with no ocular intolerance. ^(2-5;8)

Cicabio Pommade was considered pleasant to use by 100% of subjects. ⁽²⁾

An immediate soothing effect is reported by 92% of patient on freshly tattooed skin. ⁽⁷⁾

The skin is soothed after 7 days for more >95% of subjects with sensitive dry skin or damaged perineal skin. ^(4,8)
