Alessia Cavllo is a medical research biologist in dermatology. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in applied pharmaceutical sciences and a Master’s degree in medical biotechnology, and is currently a student in Medicine and Surgery.
She mainly works on inflammatory skin diseases using in vitro models, focusing on metabolic, lipid, and immunological pathways. She has expertise in cell culture, 3D models of inflammatory skin disease, and molecular biology techniques (RT-PCR, Western Blot, spectrofluorimetry), as well as lipid analysis (GC-MS, LC-MS).
