> CLINICAL RESULTS
After 28 days of application twice daily, the results showed a significant reduction (-35%*) in trans-epidermal water loss (TEWL)(a) compared to T0, thus demonstrating that Hydrabio Cream has an effect on the restructuring of the skin barrier. (2)
Hydrabio Creme has an excellent moisturizing power as a significative increase in skin hydration rate by 65.9%* at 2 hours after application, 59.6%* at 4 hours, 55.2%* at 6 hours and 48.4%* at 8 hours are observed. (3)
(a) TEWL: Trans Epidermal Water Loss. The lower it is, the more water is retained in the skin.
The AquageniumTM patented complex helps the skin to reconstitute its own resources and restore its original hydrating abilities. This complex contains active ingredients that: (1)
- improve the hydric flows by stimulating Aquaporin-3 synthesis thanks to Pyrus Malus fruit extract. An in vitro study was conducted on keratinocytes. After addition of Pyrus Malus fruit extract, an RT-PCR analysis showed an increase in ARMm synthesis coding for Aquaporin-3. (+55% synthesis vs control)
- restore the lipids that bond the corneocytes and thus improve the horny layer’s impermeability.
An evaluation of skin softness was realized with an instrumented finger that measures in decibels (dB) the vibratory response of the fingertip when rubbing the skin. The vibratory response decreases significatily when the skin is softer. The results obtained were: 111 Db before application vs 105 dB immediately after application. Therefore, Hydrabio Crème makes the skin softer.(4)
Hydrabio Crème contains salicylic acid. A study showed that with the salicylic acid, the skin is brighter and reflects lighter in comparison with the negative control (+0.88% vs. 0.03%)*. Moreover, the skin texture was finer and more even (respectively -3.18% vs -0.66% and -0.42% vs -0.04%). The presence of salicylic acid has a positive effect on the skin. (5)
* p< 0.05, Student’s Test, after 28 days or after 2,4 and 8 hours.
TOLERANCE
Hydrabio Crème is very well tolerated on the ocular level and on the cutaneous level. No reaction of skin or eyes were observed. (6)
> PATIENTS FEEDBACKS
After 8 days of application, more than 90% of patients found that the product is pleasant, easy to spread and the texture is creamy. (6)
More than 80% patient found that the skin was durably hydrated, nourished and more supple than usual.(6)
The skin seems brighter and radiant for 74% of the patients (6)
