Cicabio Arnica+ increased the level of skin hydration by 83%* over a 2-hour period and this action persisted at 8 hours (+61%)*(1).
ACTION ON BRUISES, OEDEMAS
The application of Cicabio Arnica + (2 mg/cm2), after the appearance of bruises leads to a significant reduction in the size of bruises (-40%) ** (2) compared to the control.
When applied before and after the appearance of bruises, the size of bruises is even more reduced (-65%) ** (2) compared to the control and statistically different from the group where it is used only after the bruises appear*.
Cicabio Arnica + can be used as a preventive and/or curative treatment.
The anti-inflammatory properties of Arnica montana have been demonstrated in vitro through the action of sesquiterpene lactones which inhibits the production of enzymes involved in the inflammatory cascade of the prostaglandins (key pro-inflammatory mediators) & reduces the recruitment of inflammatory cells.
AntalgicineTM, a synthetic biomimetic lipopeptide is an acetylated form of a peptide naturally present in the body: Kyotorphine, which interferes with the perception of pain. Kyotorphine has its own cellular receptors which activate an incoming calcium flow (IP3 gate) and cause a release of Met-enkephalin, thus inhibiting pain. In addition, in vitro studies on keratynocytes have shown that the addition of Antalgicine stimulates the synthesis of POMC, a precursor of endorphins and enkephalins.
TOLERANCE
Cicabio Arnica+ was evaluated as very well-tolerated after clinical examinations by a dermatologist after 28 days of using. (3)
