Evaluating Photoderm AKN Mat SPF30 properties, it can be considered as :

OTHER PROPERTIES
Efficacy of matifying power (5)
8 hours after a single application on the forehead, the mattifying aspect of the treated zone versus non-treated one was determined by sebumetry. The result showed the sebum quantity significantly decreased by -18.2%* compared to untreated areas (5).

Prevention of the rebound effect following sun exposure in acne-prone subjects (6)
Photoderm AKN Mat is applied to the face for the duration of exposure, every day, 3 to 4 times a day.
351 subjects with recurrent moderate to severe acne vulgaris after 35 days of summer sun exposure were included in the study2
The results showed a decrease in: (6)

• number of inflammatory lesions (-61% ** after 2-3 weeks)
• number of comedonal lesions (-73% ** after 2-3 weeks)

The efficacy of Photoderm AKN Mat in preventing the rebound effect was deemed good to excellent in 82% of the cases by dermatologists and by 83% of the subjects. (6)
An in vitro test showed that Fluidactiv TM patent protects the squalene from oxidation and thus helps the skin to improve the quality of sebum and limits the apparition of new imperfections under the sun.
After exposure to solar radiation, UVB rays induce a hyperproliferation of keratinocytes leading to a thickening of the epidermis which clogs pores, inducing pimples and blackheads. Glycolic acid and salicylic acid included in Photoderm AKN are active ingredients which limit hyperkeratinisation (Abels et al. 2014, Lodén 1995)

TOLERANCE
Photoderm AKN Mat SPF30+ is very well tolerated on the ocular level and on the cutaneous level even when tested on skin irritated by stripping (7.8)
