Sylvie Callejon

Sylvie Callejon is a research manager in skin biology at the NAOS Institute. She specialises in key areas of dermatological research, including the microbiome, skin barrier function, atopy, wound healing and skin ageing.
She holds a Master’s degree in Cellular and Molecular Biology from Université Paris VI. She began her career in academic research in oncology at INSERM U590 in Lyon, where she worked on understanding the mechanisms of chemoresistance in breast cancer.
She then joined an academic dermatology research team (EA4169, Lyon), where she worked for five years (2006–2011) on the normal and pathological functions of the skin barrier. It was during this time that she developed her expertise in dermatological research.
Sylvie joined NAOS in 2011, where she now applies her expertise to research in cutaneous biology.
